Chak's Temple is a breakout-style arcade game developed by Sigma Team. This is not just another breakout game. Chak's Temple does bring something new to the style. First, the story. You just found out about Chak's Temple, the temple of a powerful god that will bring a lot of treasures to those who get to it. You get in your spaceship and set out in order to found the temple. However, there is a great amount of obstacles in your way that you must clear out. These obstacles are not bricks, these are trees, rocks, bee-hives and more. So it is refreshing not having bricks for a change. They have been mostly substituted by trees. The same basic power-ups are also there, making it a familiar formula with a new look. There are also a bunch of bonus levels that don't involve becoming an eco-terrorist, bringing a refreshing break from all the tree bashing. Somehow Sigma Team managed to create an entertaining game from a familiar formula. Another great thing about this game is that it is available for free. All arcade game fans should check it out. |
